Chart notes
CUPID'S CRUSADER showed the way in the two path to the far turn, led two to three wide turning for home, opened up under urging and remained well clear to the wire. IRISH ELEMENT settled two then three wide around the first turn, trailed into the second bend, spun five wide into the lane, produced a mild rally and bested the rest. TEE N OFF stalked in the three path to the far turn, asked through the bend, came four wide into the lane and weakened. WHAT A GIFT chased four wide around both turns, came five wide into the stretch and weakened. BID ON THE PRIZE tracked from inside then in the two path, lost ground along the rail on the second bend, weakened in the lane, was dismounted on the clubhouse turn following the race and was transported off the track via equine ambulance. BALLYHOOLIGAN was well placed in the early stages on the inside, came under a ride on the far turn, chased two wide into the lane and tired. TOM'S STAR pulled in the two path early, chased between into the second bend, traveled outside a pair of rivals turning for home and had little left for the drive. DUE TO A TIMER MALFUNCTION THE THREE-QUARTER FRACTION WAS HAND-TIMED.
