MERMAID MAGIC set the pace on the inside racing with a clear lead, responded when challenge by the runner up, turned back that rival in midstretch and drew clear under urging. RAVENWOOD HILL stumbled badly at the start, recovered quickly and moved up on the inside, chased on the turn, bid two wide at the quarter pole, dug in gamely to midstretch, then weakened. IMAGINE ERIN stalked close up early on, then chased and gave way.
