GERRARDS CROSS quickly showed in front, set the pace on the inside, responded when roused, kicked clear at the top of the lane and held well under urging. SPINELLI broke a step slow, then steadied slightly in the chute, stalked close up early, chased on the turn, continued evenly in the stretch run and dug in gamely to hold second. TAP INTO GRACE raced off the pace inside, chased on the turn, came four wide into the lane, angled in at the furlong marker and rallied mildly inside. CAROLYNCAROLINE raced off the pace, chased inside on the turn, came three wide into the lane and rallied mildly outside. ECHO JULIET raced two wide off the pace, chased on the turn and did not factor.
