Chart notes
STILLASHOP broke sharp to be quickly clear, was joined from the outside into the turn, dueled through the bend, disposed of the other speed when straightened for home, clear again, maintained a comfortable advantage to the wire under steady handling. GOLDEN REY broke with the field, raced in mid pack while three wide, called on for run into the lane, late run for second, no threat to the winner. HUCKLEBERRY FINN off the pace while outside, continued in the four path through the turn, displayed a modest amount of late to pick up a couple of positions late, no real threat to the top two. CARBON STEEL hustled early to join the winner from the outside before a quarter, dueled into and through the turn, first to blink in upper stretch, evenly late. GRAND EAGLE bumped with GOD OF THUNDER at the break, raced in the second flight while along the inside, continued to chase the dueling leaders while saving ground into the stretch, remained prominent until a furlong remained before beginning to falter. lost a couple of positions in the final strides. FOURFORFORTYFOUR off a step slow, lacked speed, went one paced while racing off the inside. GOD OF THUNDER broke in, bumped start, trailed throughout in failing to threaten.
