Following a forty minute holdup past the scheduled post time and a change in distance to the race, LIAM'S LAW brushed the near side stall at the start, came under coaxing and established the front shortly after to show the way in hand just off the inside until tucked inside with seven-sixteenths to run, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths marker and spun just off the inside into upper stretch, took to the inside straightened away and edged clear under a drive to the eighth pole, then held well and clear to the finish kept to task. AND THE RUNNER IS three then two wide through the first turn, chased three then two wide from mid pack, came under urging near the quarter pole before being set down angled five wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild kick to secure the place honors. BERTA'S STITCH got bumped at the start by SURETY and in turn bumped ZODIAC WARRIOR, chased just off the inside and then along the inside from just off the pace, came under encouragement with five-sixteenths to go, took the inside route into upper stretch and kept on to the finish. SURETY broke in at the start bumping BERTA'S STITCH into ZODIAC WARRIOR, raced just off the inside through the turn and then three to four paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked to the two path through the far turn and came under urging with five-sixteenths remaining, swung four then three wide for home and weakened in the late stages. SUSPEND chased just off the inside and then along the inside under a ride from the five-sixteenths pole, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, offered no response. CASINO raced just off the inside through the first turn, chased three then two wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths marker, spun three wide into upper stretch and improved position to the wire. JOLLEY chased just off the inside and then along the inside from near the rear of the field, came under encouragement with five-sixteenths to run, cornered three wide into upper stretch and offered no response. ANTONELLI coaxed from the gate, raced three then two wide in closest aim of the leader coming under urging at the five-sixteenths pole, spun three then two wide into upper stretch and tired. ZODIAC WARRIOR broke a half a beat slow and was bumped by BERTA'S STITCH due to pressure from SURETY, chased three then two wide under coaxing from midway on the far turn, swung four wide for home and made no impact. SANKE a bit fractious in the gate prior to the start, raced three then two wide through the first turn, chased three wide coming under a ride three furlongs out, swung four wide into upper stretch and made no impact.
