Chart notes
DURABLE tracked behind the pace battle to the turn, angled out near the five-sixteenths marker, swept to the lead at the top of the stretch and drew off as the rider pleased, and was geared down near the finish. BRAHMS HALO hustled aggressively from the break but was not fast enough to contest the early pace, settled at the back heading into the turn, was still last at the head of the stretch, was racing on the wrong lead, but managed to move up and gain the second spot while no threat to the winner. FOREIGN MINISTER contested the early pace three-wide, pushed ahead with the lead approaching the quarter pole but could not match the oncoming rush of DURABLE, was kept to task but unable prevent getting passed for the place. OPTIMISTIC INCOME broke in a bit of a tangle, but showed good speed to get into the early pace mix, came under a ride passing the three-furlong pole and was the first to drop out, and tired in the stretch. LUCKCREST pressed the pace between rivals, backed out near the five-sixteenths marker, tired, and had little to offer in the stretch. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
