Chart notes
MARTINIWITHATWIST remained along the inner rail down the backstretch and into the turn, swung to the five path at the head of the lane, closed sharpy outside foes, swept to command near the sixteenth pole and drove clear. MY HOMETOWN GAL took the lead outside BEFUDDLED on the turn, went clear approaching the stretch, finished gamely but was no match for the winner. COLLECT THE CHECK , a forward factor in the three path between horses around the turn, stayed prominent to upper stretch and faded. SCARLET ROGUE lightly bumped SASSY MISS at the start, pursued the pace four deep on the turn and gave way. BEFUDDLED showed speed along the inner rail and weakened in upper stretch. SASSY MISS , lightly bumped at the start, saved ground on the turn and was not a factor. THINK PINK , four deep leaving the backstretch, dropped back.
