JAVA TALES tracked the early pace from outside, coaxed four wide to the quarter marker, made a sustained rally into the stretch, responded well to the final sixteenth, surged in deep stretch and was up in time to prevail. ITTY BIDDY CITY sent for the early lead, dictated terms from the inside heading to the quarter marker, dug in to mid-stretch, was all out in the final sixteenth to hold off JAVA TALES, was nailed for the win in the final strides and bested the rest. JUMP A FOX crowded at the start and off slowly, trailed in the early stages then caught in traffic into the turn, angled four wide nearing the quarter marker, closed willingly in the stretch drive, could not reel in the top pair in the final sixteenth, up in time for the show. SHUBAGAIL crowded at the start and away a bit slowly, settled in the early going then mounted an inside bid into the turn, tipped to the two path to upper stretch, ran in pursuit of ITTY BIDDY CITY to the furlong grounds, outkicked in the final sixteenth and just missed for the show. TAKE CHARGE BOO settled mid-pack early on, was caught in tight between rivals approaching the turn and took up at the three-eighths pole, re-rallied five wide to upper stretch, needed more to the final sixteenth and finished evenly. KYLIE'S KISS broke in at the start and crowded inner rivals, settled in the second flight, got caught in tight between foes nearing the quarter marker, angled to the rail to upper stretch, chased to the furlong grounds, no late rally. SPARKLING RUBY settled in the early stages, gained ground three wide into the turn, chased nearing the quarter marker then was bottled up at that station, shifted to the two path to upper stretch, ran in pursuit to the furlong marker, no late kick. COME AS YOU ARE prominent in the early running, attended to the decent pace heading to the turn, chased two to three wide nearing the quarter marker, couldn't match strides to upper stretch and tired in the drive. THE JOCKEY ON TAKE CHARGE BOO LODGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST JAVA TALES, CLAIMING INTERFERENCE ALONG THE TURN. THE STEWARDS DISALLOWED THAT OBJECTION, AND RULED THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
