Chart notes
PONDICHERRY sped clear soon after the start, set a rated pace two wide, was shaken up soon into the lane, wandered outward a bit past the three sixteenths, widened and kept on eagerly under a steady hand ride. FRECKLES FOREVER edged up three wide between rivals in the opening furlong, picked up serious chase mid turn, shifted in after the winner drifted past the three sixteenths, kept on gamely but was unable to make inroads through the final sixteenth. CESTRAND , four deep pursuing, stayed on the left lead through the lane and came up empty. DEVIL D' ORO , two wide between runners chasing the winner into the turn, remained just off the inside into the stretch and faded. MAYA D , inside a trio of foes into the turn, failed to keep pace past the quarter pole and tired. RUNNING COMMENTARY , off slow when lunging, dropped well off the early pace and failed to get involved.
