DU MONDE broke a step slowly, was caught four-wide into the first turn, moved up to press FLYIN RYAN approaching the six-furlong pole as the field paired off behind, bid nearing the seven-sixteenths pole, took over before the stretch, and finished willingly under steady handling to hold off the strong late bid of the runner-up. ICONIC ROCK broke well and settled just off the pace, was ridden along down the backstretch to keep up, began to improve after passing the three-furlong pole, advanced along the rail into the stretch, continued under a drive, closed boldly along the rail, loomed in the final furlong, but just missed in a game effort. FLYIN RYAN was fractious in the gate, was a bit rank from the start, pulled to the lead while under some restraint, eventually settled down, dug in when challenged by DU MONDE on the far turn, battled gamely to deep stretch, but ultimately yielded late. COLLATOR veered out and crossed in front of two rivals at the start, steadied when tight entering the first turn, settled at the rear along the rail, tipped into the three path after passing the half-mile pole, advanced through the far turn to reach contention approaching the quarter pole, swung four-wide into the stretch, finished well, but lacked the needed response. DANGEROUS DRIVER got pinballed at the start, then steadied in traffic entering the first turn, was held up off the pace through the first half-mile, finished with some interest, but failed to threaten. IKNOWYOUCANWAIT was bumped off stride after the break, tracked along the rail and lacked a rally.
