Chart notes
GOOD FOCUS broke with the leaders, stalked the issue up front on the outside, three wide into the turn, challenged late in the bend, put a head in front entering the stretch, edged clear nearing the furlong marker, held sway late under steady handling. SMILING GOODBYE moved up inside to contest the issue up front, dueled into and through the turn, fell back entering the stretch, moved to the outside, came back for the runner up spot in the final jump while closing the gap on the winner. TOUGHERTHANTHEREST set or forced the pace in the two path, raced on equal terms with the winner into the stretch, could not keep pace with that one the final furlong, outkicked late for the runner up spot. MY VINO lacked speed while racing off the inside, came in the two path for the drive, displayed a mild amount of late interest. ST. ELMO behind the early pace along the inside, had nothing for the drive in trailing home.
