Chart notes
IF NOT FOR CAS vied four-wide in the early pace scramble, backed out of the action near the half-mile pole, came again nearing the quarter pole, engaged C PLUM RUN in a spirited stretch duel, and edged ahead in the final yards. C PLUM RUN broke well, pressed the pace five-wide early, raced three-wide through the turn, emerged into the stretch with a slight lead, dueled with IF NOT FOR CAS, and yielded grudgingly late. BLAKELY walked away from the gate, spotted the field several lengths, tipped six-wide into the stretch, and ran on to gain the minor award. ROLLING MY EYES was hustled after the break, took a short lead early while pressed by two rivals outside, weakened nearing the quarter pole, and continued evenly through the stretch. MISSIONARY MARY broke well, contested the pace two-wide through the opening quarter-mile, dropped back approaching the quarter pole, and had little left for the stretch run. INDIAS BIG RED pressed the pace four-deep early and was done early. GO CAMI OH dropped back quickly after a level start, chased along the rail through the turn, but flattened out in the stretch.
