Chart notes
DIXON TUFF was unhurried from the start and last through the first turn, advanced steadily down the backstretch to reach contanion by the far turn, continued to run on hooking in with to rivals in the stretch, wore those two down and pulled clear in the late stages. STREET HUMOR vied for the lead in the first turn, ceded the front to BROOKYS TAPIT, moved to the outside early on the backstretch run, was the inside horse in a three-way stretch battle, finished willingly, but came up short at the wire. BARON'S SONG raced three to four wide into the clubhouse turn, pressed the pace three-wide down the backstretch, remained in contention between rivals entering the stretch, but was outfinished. SOUTH COAST ROUTE settled in mid-pack, improved on the far turn, but flattened out in the stretch. MONGOLIAN FROST tracked close up to the pace then lacked a finish. BAYOU CHROME lacked early speed and settled at the rear, passed a couple of tired rivals late, but was never a factor. BROOKYS TAPIT was hustled to the front into the clubhouse turn, showed the way down the backstretch while pressured by several rivals, gave way nearing the three-furlong pole, and weakened through the stretch. GOODBYE NOW showed little and was always outrun.
