Chart notes
SUMMERFEST reserved in hand racing mid-pack to midway on the turn, circled six wide turning for home and made a steady advance through the lane to be up in time. GOLDEN CANDY tracked the leaders to the head of the lane, rallied five wide with a good finish while outkicked by the winner having to settle for the place. HE'S ON THE FLY stalked the leaders through the quick pace to the quarter pole, rallied up the inside in upper stretch, angled out to the clear to take the lead just inside the eighth pole and was outfinished by the top pair in a good effort. SHOWDOWN KING slow early to be at the rear of the field, circled eight wide turning for home, angled in through the stretch and rallied mildly to hit the board. DECLARATION TIME passed weaker rivals in the stretch without impact. TRUTH AND HONESTY passed tiring rivals donw the lane. MOR SPRING SPIRIT set a quick pace under mild pressure, battled on the lead to midway down the lane and tired in the final furlong. RIDING A DREAM pressed the pace for a half and gave way.
