Chart notes
VALIANT ENYA unhurried to be the trailer down the backside, circled the field on the far turn to mount a rally from six wide in the lane and surged late along the outside to be up in time. LES IS BEST stalked the pace from afar down the backstretch, closed the gap on the final bend with a steady advance, collared the pacesetter leaving the eighth pole to go clear and was caught in the shadow of the wire. INTIMATE set the pace on a clear early lead, widened the advantage down the backsie, maintained a wide margin to the top of the lane and weakened coming home. STARSHIP DISCOVERY failed to menace. SUGAR MAGNOLIA (IRE) chased the loose pacesetter to the far turn and faded. MIMA PRINCESS mkissed the break giving the field several lengths and was never a factor.
