BARRISTER PROOF never far back, responded when roused to push away from rivals and raced clear under steady urging. PETER FLIES dueled for the lead for three furlongs then was collared by the winner bur saved enough to hold second. MATTAWA N THAT chased the pace, was fanned four wide to the stretch and lacked the needed late response. DOMINATE got outsprinted, raced three wide and did not rally. BUZZED BY A TIGER had no speed and was always outrun. THE LAIR had brief speed and gave way. ROJO PEQUENO was jostled between rivals at the start then was dull.
