S S ISLAND FUN broke sharp, set the pace along the rail into the turn, cruised away from rivals around the bend, held sway driving. PERSON OF INTEREST broke alertly, three wide pursuit of the pace setter around the turn, no match from the furlong marker, chased on late second best. ADONCIA chased the run-away leader inside around the turn, clean rail trip through the lane, stayed on willingly for the show. BEVERLY CRUSHER fractious in the gate pre-start, broke slow at the bell, urged along advanced three wide leaving the furlong marker, bid stalled out through the final sixteenth. NEW YORK LIGHTS saved ground off the pace, roused on off the rail into the lane, had no late punch. SINGING SOFTLY fractious in the gate pre-start, lacked speed into the turn, had no late impact. PRINCESS FORTRESS pressed the pace three wide around the turn, weakened upper. CAYUGA very slow into stride, never threatened.
