Chart notes
STAYSOBER gave chase five wide down the backstretch, continued three wide through the turn, tipped out to the five path for the stretch run and rallied to get up for the win. BLOCKED broke best and went to a narrow early lead over GONZAGA BAY, turned back repeated challenges from that rival, edged clear in deep stretch but could not withstand the late charge of the winner. GONZAGA BAY pressed the pace two wide, battled gamely into the stretch, began to weaken in the late stages and was outfinished for second. GOGO OXBOW tracked in midpack, remained within striking distance into the stretch, but went one-paced and lacked the needed late response. MCGEORGE lacked early speed and raced far back, came five wide into the stretch and was mildly gaining late. TEDDY'S TRIUMPH tracked close up four to five wide down the backstretch, moved up to join the leading pair near the quarter pole, continued under vigorous urging despite having little more to give, then lugged in and faltered. WARRENS WORLD tracked three to four wide through the early stages, weakened on the turn and had little left for the stretch. IMPULZIVE STORM broke with the pack, steadily retreated, and failed to menace.
