Chart notes
DARING PURSUIT stalked along the rail then moved into the two path around the first turn, raced close up outside the leader into the far turn, challenged in upper stretch, hounded BRAZORIA (GB) into deep stretch and got up late. BRAZORIA (GB) stepped to the front and moved inside, eased over to the two path on the first turn, came back to the rail into the backstretch, controlled the pace to the quarter pole, roused leaving the bend, met the bid from DRAING PURSUIT in upper stretch, resisted through the final furlong and yielded grudgingly near the wire. PENTLE BAY reserve along the rail in the early going, moved into range on the second bend, moved out at the top of the lane, rallied between rivals and got up for third. PRECLUDE (IRE) broke a bit slow, sat off the pace two wide, drew closer under urging on the far turn, angled widest in the stretch, came with a late run and missed third. ULYSSES ROSE (IRE) tracked the speed from the two path, came under a ride in the three path past the five-sixteenths pole, chased determinedly through the lane but lacked the needed late kick. RUNYON CANYON tracked from inside, followed behind the leader around the far turn, stayed on the fence in the lane and lacked a bid.
