Chart notes
VAN stalked the runaway pacesetter down the backside, rallied to assume command nearing the quarter pole, kicked clear in upper stretch and held the closer safe. FASTER tracked the pace to the final turn, rallied with a steady advance leaving the quarter pole and was narrowing the gap late as second best. HARD MISSION reserved racing in mid-pack throughout and put in a mild bid in the stretch to be along for the show. SILVER QUARTERS slow early to trail to the far turn, circled the field to be prominent eight wide in upper stretch, flattened out in the final furlong and was vanned off after crossing the wire. FROSTY THE SOLDIER went evenly failing to menace. VAST HORIZONS was not a threat. PEARL OF ACLAIM (GB) sped off on the lead opening a wide advantage for a half mile and stopped nearing the quarter pole coming up empty.
