CYBER NINJA was briefly turned sideways just prior to the start but got himself straightened just in time, raced keen under restraint early toying with the bit through the first turn before settling to track the front just off the inside from just off the pace, jumped well to maintain position and ground briefly moving to the inside before heading back out to be just off the dogs once more, got carried out a path or two after the final flight by PHILIP MY DEAR who began jumping outwards, came under urging nearing the top of the stretch and seized command with three-sixteenths to run, then edged clear briefly before digging in to hold the runner up safe to the finish. LYNCHES KNOCK (IRE) saved ground near the rear of the field jumping well to keep contact from the back while also maintaining ground, cleared the final fence and remained patiently handled until called upon at the quarter pole, dug in under a drive running on willingly through to the finish to secure the place honors while clear of the rest and along second best. PHILIP MY DEAR raced in mid pack early on through the first fence and turn before advancing outside rivals to seize command near jump two, jumped well to maintain the front before jumping outwards at fence six, kept a straight course at seven and then jumped outwards at fence eight and again at the final fence carrying out CYBER NINJA a path or two before being corrected, came under urging nearing the head of the stretch under growing threat to the outside, got collared with three-sixteenths to go and weakened in the late stages while well clear for the show honors. KING AL (GB) saved ground near the rear of the field jumping well to keep contact until jumping late at fence five, came under urging near fence eight, cleared that one and the final fence and was under prolonged encouragement through the far and final turn and tired in the flat. FAMOUS FIGURE (IRE) after a reluctant start where no one seemed intent on the front, took over command and waltzed off jumping early at the first flight, showed the way through the first turn and then eased off yielding command at fence two to PHILIP MY DEAR, settled tracking that rival in closest aim along the inside patiently handled and jumping well to maintain position, cleared the final flight and remained on hold until put to urging three furlongs from home and tired in the flat. ALPAMAYO settled tracking the front along the inside and then just off the inside in pursuit from mid pack, jumped late at fence two, jumped well thereafter until bobbling just after completing the jump at seven, lost his action and was immediately placed to a protective hold when sitting fourth and was guided back so two rivals could clear, got guided to the outside hedge and was eased up before being pulled up outside flight eight, then got attended to and vetted on the course and was subsequently transported off the course via the equine ambulance.
