Chart notes
CADDIEMASTER showed speed on the inside of CRESCENDO'S REIN while along the rail, was taken back off the pace under a vigorous hold late on the opening bend then switched to the outside, moved back up to re-engage the aforementioned opponent on the outside, turned up the pressure in the two then three path on the far turn, took the advantage late on that bend, kicked clear while set down into upper stretch, drew off under a right-handed crop into the final furlong then drifted in, switched to a left-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole and was given one swat then proved much the best under a strong hand-ride to the finish. CRESCENDO'S REIN was brushed by JUDGE BOUSHAY in the hindquarters at the break, showed speed on the outside of CADDIEMASTER, raced in the two path for most of the first turn, went clear briefly while dropping to the inside late on that bend and onto the backstretch then was challenged to the outside with six furlongs to run, vied inside to the two path on the far turn, was given her cue while headed late on that bend, lost touch with the winner in upper stretch and proved no match while able to get the place. SENEGAL raced in the three path on the first turn, dropped in early on the backstretch, settled off the pace, was urged along outside the half-mile pole, saved ground on the far turn, swung out to the four path into the stretch and lacked the needed response while able to get the show. ZAPRUDER broke a bit awkwardly then dropped back early, saved ground on the first turn, settled at the rear, was roused in the two path on the far turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and failed to rally. JUDGE BOUSHAY lunged outward at the start then brushed the hindquarters of CRESENDO'S REIN while last away, went around the first turn in the three path, settled on the outside, moved closer outside the five-eighths pole, was urged along late on the backstretch, traveled around the far turn in the three path, was driven into the stretch in the four path and failed to respond.
