Chart notes
LOUISIANIMAL set a well rated pace on a well measured lead in hand into the far turn, responded when threatened nearing the quarter pole to kick away in upper stretch and drew off in a well managed ride. SECRETARY OF WAR stalked the leaders down the backside from four wide, rallied to close the gap, threatening on the far turn, failed to get passed the winner and ran on willingly as second best. GOOSE HUNTER rated in hand to race mid-pack saving ground and mounted a mild bid to gain the show in the lane without seriously posing a threat to the top two. PIQUANT was slow early to be well off the rear of the pack, rallied circling on the turn to be prominent in upper stretch and flattened out unable to sustain the bid. LIGHTNING CHARLIE chased the leaders on the far turn and lacked a closing kick finishing evenly. YADI pressed the pace to midway on the final turn and gave way. DUEL FUEL was not a factor.
