Chart notes
CAPTAIN SHREVE was closest in pursuit of the lone leader early, closest in and loomed boldly from outside late on the bend, drew alongside GANDALF entering the lane, put that rival away nearing the eighth pole and was kept to task to the wire. GANDALF sped clear and crossed over, carried a diminishing lead crossing the quarter pole, confronted by CAPTAIN SCHREVE turning for home, yielded to that rival outside the eighth pole and managed to hold on for second. B G BULLET away quickly from the dispatch, stalked outside a rival then fell off the pace nearing the turn, took the turn two then three wide, kept on down the lane and just missed second, then was transported off the track via equine ambulance. SHARONS MAXFIELD chased after the speed from off the rail, navigated turn in the three path and could not rally. FREDDY FIVE FOUR trailed on the inside into the turn, passed a few rivals around the bend, then flattened out in the lane. FLAUBERT settled outside a rival well off the rail, dropped back to last in the four path, angled down to the two path and tired in the lane.
