Chart notes
MY LIQUID LUNCH was forwardly placed three wide leaving the backstretch, tracked the top pair around the turn, came four paths wide into the head of the lane, raced in aim at the furlong marker, gained a slight edge, dueled noses apart with IOWEGIAN approaching the wire, dug in gamely and got a nose up on the wire. IOWEGIAN sat off the early speed, came five paths wide into the head of the lane, steadily advanced while angling in, raced noses apart approaching the wire, fought gamely and just missed. OUT IN THE MIDDLE vied two wide into the turn, battled on into the final sixteenth then yielded. SMART EDGE raced off the early pace, saved ground, shifted to the six path in upper stretch and gained too late. HONEST TO PETE was forwardly placed leaving the backstretch, continued in contention two wide going by the quarter pole, lacked racing room in upper stretch, shifted to the outside and finished willingly. DONT MESS WITHBLUE vied inside of rivals for the early lead, battled on past mid-stretch then gave way grudgingly. SUCCESSFUL VOTING was off a step slow, raced off the pace, gained along the rail in upper stretch then flattened out.
