VERNON VALLEY chased just off the inside from just off the pace coming under encouragement near the quarter pole, angled five wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive running on to the finish, got brushed late by MARIA CALLAS in tight behind between rivals and ran on to secure the show honors. TUTHILLTOWN bobbled after the start, chased three wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths marker, angled six wide into upper stretch, kicked on belatedly to the finish.
