Chart notes
STRATEGIC WARRIOR showed no early speed then circled the field from three wide to run down the leader and was up in the final yards. POPA'S PRIDE showed good speed to take a clear lead before being collared near the sixteenth pole and weakened but stayed on for the place. EAGLE IN THE AIR saved ground before steading midway through the turn then shifted out to four wide to make a belated bid and was a clear third. BETRBREADY saved ground to the turn then angled out to four wide to make run at the leader and improved his position. CARIBBEAN SON was bumped on both sides leaving the gate then prompted the pace to the turn and chased the leader to the top of the stretch before giving way. EXPECT VICTORY raced in the middle of the pack but failed to menace. GEAUX WARRIOR chased the pace to the turn then slowly faded.
