Chart notes
GARAGE BEERS was pushed from the break to secure a forward position, settled into a stalking spot, took command at the quarter pole and drew clear late under a steady drive. CHRIST IS KING tracked within range along the rail, angled three wide approaching the far turn, finished with good interest and drew clear of the others for second while unable to threaten the winner. GORDITO broke outward, was caught three wide through the first turn, moved up three to four wide through the far turn, then flattened out while gaining third. HURRICANE JERRY settled in midpack, began to move up with some prompting but lacked a clear path through the far turn, found room in upper stretch but failed to respond. ON SECRET SERVICE was hustled from the break to win the early battle for the lead, showed the way to the stretch, then weakened. BIG HAWK dropped to the rear after a level start, required coaxing down the backstretch to keep pace, came under a full drive approaching the far turn and failed to respond.
