Chart notes
CAPITOL HILL dropped back early, saved ground on the first turn, settled towards the rear without cover, was roused in the two path on the far turn, rallied in the four path into the stretch, closed well to get the lead outside the sixteenth-pole, fought outside of the runner-up to the finish and narrowly prevailed under strong urging. PIERRE dropped back early, settled on the inside, moved out from the hedge to the three path while getting closer on the far turn, rallied in the four path into the stretch then took the lead before the three-sixteenths pole, led under a drive into the final furlong, lost the advantage to the winner outside the sixteenth-pole, fought back gamely inside of that opponent into the final sixteenth, battled nose to nose in the final strides and just missed while well clear for the place. YINZER broke out a bit then was hustled, showed speed on the outside of BONUS MOVE then went clear in tandem with that rival, raced in the three path on the first turn, came further out entering the backstretch, contested the fast pace on the outside, vied in the three path while shortening stride on the far turn, dropped back in upper stretch and weakened but earned the show. GENERAL PARTNER tucked in early, came out into the first turn, dropped from the three path to the two path late on that bend, was reserved in third position while well placed behind the runaway leading duo, moved closer in the two path on the far turn, was roused outside the quarter-pole, spun into the stretch in the three path then moved further out, remained on his inside lead until just before the furlong marker then swapped to the proper lead and came up empty. BONUS MOVE showed speed on the inside and opened up in tandem with YINZER, contested the fast pace along the hedge, was asked while shortening stride on the far turn, dropped back in upper stretch and tired. DISCREET DANCER dropped back early then angled in at the rear, rounded the first turn in the two path, settled at the back, was urged along in the three path on the far turn, turned into the stretch in the four path then moved further out and failed to rally.
