Chart notes
WINGFOOT established the front and showed the way in hand three then two wide coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, went clear under a drive to prevail. LOUGH CURRANE chased just off the inside and then along the inside under a ride from three furlongs out, cornered just off the inside into upper stretch, came out and brushed with ICE HOUSE just outside the three-sixteenths pole, proved no match for the top one while keeping on to secure the place honors. ICE HOUSE chased four paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn under encouragement from the five-sixteenths marker, spun three wide for home and weakened in the late stages. BOOTSY'S A RASCAL bobbled at he break under coaxing, chased five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then three wide through the turn urged along from the seven-sixteenths pole, went five wide into upper stretch and tired. ROYAL MERIT coaxed from the gate, angled out to the six path five and a half furlongs from home carrying out BOLD SCHOLAR a few paths, chased six then four wide under urging from the seven-sixteenths marker, went seven wide into upper stretch and tired. BOLD SCHOLAR brushed the off side stall at the start, chased briefly from the four path before being carried out two additional paths by ROYAL MERIT tipping out along his inside, tucked back to the four and then three path near the half mile pole before heading to the two path through the turn under prolonged coaxing from the half mile pole, went five wide for home, made no impact.
