Chart notes

READY TO POUNCE broke a step slowly then was allowed to settle early, trailed to the turn, circled five wide to upper stretch, responded well into the drive and closed determinedly into the final furlong, wore down the game runner-up in deep stretch and kept to task in the final yards to prevail. ZIMBA WARRIOR tracked the early leaders along the backstretch, took command three then two wide into the turn, led while off of the rail into upper stretch, met the bid of READY TO POUNCE into the final furlong, was bested by the determined winner in deep stretch and was a clear second. GOD OF WINE crowded and in tight at the start, was last away from the gate then advanced along the backstretch, coaxed from the two path to upper stretch, couldn't keep pace with the top pair into the stretch drive but stayed on to be a clear third. MY DOMINATOR settled off of the contested early pace, gained ground into the turn and chased three to four wide to the quarter pole, ran in pursuit to upper stretch, couldn't sustain a bid to the final furlong and weakened. FREE AMERICA contested the early pace from the inside, got put in tight by KARMA DIRECTOR approaching the turn and took up and lost position into the bend, trailed into upper stretch, lacked the needed response in the drive and passed a tiring rival late. KARMA DIRECTOR disputed the early pace from outside of FREE AMERICA, crowded that rival approaching the turn then was overtaken into the bend, chased from the inside to upper stretch, couldn't find more in the drive and tired.
