Chart notes
MALIBU SMART stalked the pace from the two path through the early stages of the race and swung out widest in the backstretch coming up the hill before closing back to the three path on the far turn then was finally coaxed at the bottom of the turn before tipping to the inside and drew well clear in the stretch. NATIONAL ARCHIVE was a step behind the pack at the break and raced towards the back early before shifting to the mid-pack in the backside and came to the three to four path, then made it's bid entering the stretch and kicked past the rest but was no match for the winner. CALAMITY bumped to the outside at the break and raced mid-pack on the inside through the first turn then shifted into gear coming through the backstretch and dueled the leader in hand then took command in the upper end of the stretch but weakened in the deep drive and settled for the show award. MAMBO QUEEN settled back early and teetered between the two path and inside then was put into encouragement while entering the upper stretch and tipped out five wide and forced OLD FASHINONED GIRL to be taken up briefly with a bump and showed some kick in the deep stretch but was too late. AGIA MARINA broke to the outside and bumped into CALAMITY then settled close up behind the pace on the inside and continued on to the stretch and attempted to bid but needed to find kick in the stretch. STREETWHEREYOULIVE was off slow at the beginning and settled at the back of the pack along the inside then swung out far in the stretch but had no kick left while making up some ground. OLD FASHIONED GIRL tracked the pace from the early stages in the two path and briefly shifted up on the backside then settled back into position and came into the upper four to five wide but was bumped and checked before fading. CAVIAR BREAKFAST set the early pace from the inside with one contender a length behind then came off the rail a bit and was pressured into a duel from the inside by CALAMITY coming up the hill and kept on from the two path then was finally passed up in the upper and faded in the stretch.
