Chart notes
HOW'S AL TODAY well placed early on while settling in the second flight, tucked to the two path into the turn, angled to the four to five path into the drive, was full of run into the final furlong, took command and kicked clear into the final sixteenth and won in hand as much the best. BATTLEFIELD HERO settled while saving ground early, advanced from the inside nearing the quarter marker, bid between rivals into the stretch, was no match late for the winner but was a clear second. TRIM CASTLE sent to contest the early pace from outside of NEVER SLEEP, pressed that rival through solid fractions into the turn, dueled to the quarter marker then vied for the lead into the lane, couldn't keep pace with the top pair late but held well in the end for third. MAKING IT RAIN forwardly placed to begin, tracked the leading pair to the turn, chased the dueling leaders from the two to three path at the quarter marker, shifted to the four path for the stretch drive and faltered late. NEVER SLEEP broke alertly and hustled to vie for the early lead, took command then set a pressured pace to the turn, carved out solid fractions while hounded to the quarter pole, couldn't find more in the drive and gave way. BIATHLON rated off of the early pace, steadied slightly while on heels into the turn, coaxed from the inside to the quarter marker, angled out for the stretch drive and did not offer a late response. HILLBILLY KOBE crowded and put in tight at the start by an inner runner, settled to the turn, saved ground into the stretch then gained into the drive, flattened out in the final sixteenth and failed to threaten. CRYSTAL RIVER allowed to settle in the early running, coaxed outside of rivals along the turn, lacked a response two to three wide to upper stretch and did not make an impact in the final stages. RYBA broke out at the start, was off a bit slowly then void of early speed, trailed to the turn and did not factor.
