Chart notes
SOCIAL CODE veered out sharply on the break, rushed up keen outside rivals three deep entering the backstretch in the early mix up top, took back of the inside front pair by the half, ranged up moving well three wide on the outside in the turn, posed a menacing presence in the four path fighting with a couple of inside foes on the front end turning for home, pulled away clearing off for the lead drifting inwards under right handed encouragement at the sixteenth pole and was kept very busy coming to the wire just lasting inside in a very tight finish for the win. MEW N ME was unhurried settling near the rear end while on the outside, started to come with a good rally two wide at the five sixteenths pole, angled out with clear run in the five path straightening out for the drive and charged home strongly in the final furlong outside responding smartly to a left handed crop at the sixteenth pole but just missed surging at the wire by the slimmest of margins. XARABELLA was knocked off stride by the inside runner on the break, recovered quickly vying between rivals heading into the backside, chased outside at the half, moved in again dueling between foes on the turn two wide at the quarter pole, had the three path arguing for the lead still with challengers on either side in upper stretch, faded from the top duo with a furlong to go but did find more late to hold on for the show money at the wire. ORION BEACH had the rail position sitting in the middle of the pack in the early stages, crept closer on the fence in midturn, shifted to the three path in with a chance just behind the contesting trio turning for home, stalled in the final eighth of a mile but did finish up better than the inside foe getting the nod at the wire for a minor placing. HAPPY DESTINATION had a slim lead on the inside down the backstretch, edged away by the half, saved ground around the bend having a narrow advantage inside a couple of rivals at the quarter pole, had the two path just holding on inside in upper stretch but could not find more in the late running and idled on the fence in the final furlong. LORRAINE'S BEAUTY co-trailed on the outside, travelled two wide in tandem with an inside foe still see the field on the turn and just got the better from the inside rival in a match race to themselves down the lane. TIZ PRACTICAL shared the rear inside another throughout, had the rail still at the back inside in the stretch drive and could no find more in the stretch running.
