Chart notes
NEW PURPOSE settled mid-pack early then moved up to be forwardly placed, tracked the pace to the turn, took command two wide into upper stretch, kicked clear at the furlong marker then drew away late while in hand. DOVETAIL lost her path at the start and was off slowly, advanced from the inside into the turn, got caught in tight between runners passing the half-mile, chased from the inside to upper stretch then angled out, couldn't impact the winner into the late stages but closed willingly for second. WOODMERE broke alertly and vied for the early lead, took back then saved ground into the turn, chased from the two path approaching the quarter marker, angled out at mid-stretch, was outkicked in the final sixteenth but held at the wire for third. NUCCIA settled in the second flight, coaxed two then three wide along the turn, shifted in and chased NEW PURPOSE from the two path into upper stretch, flattened out in the stretch drive and was outfinished for the minor awards. MAPLE RIDGE broke in at the start and crowded an inner rival, settled in the second flight early on, lost position into the turn then coaxed three wide along the bend, shifted out for the stretch drive then forced out at the furlong pole, lacked a rally to deep stretch and finished evenly late. ELOWYN'S HONOR lost her path at the start and spotted the field to begin, trailed to the the turn then was last into upper stretch, shifted to three path for the stretch drive, made a mild late gain but failed to threaten late. LADY CARMEN vied for the early lead from between runners then took command, set the pace while clear into the turn, dictated terms past the half-mile pole then confronted by NEW PURPOSE nearing the top of the stretch, couldn't match strides into the drive and faded.
