MODEST MACLEAN coaxed from the gate, chased five then four wide coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, tipped six wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive rallying to take command a sixteenth from home, then edged away to the wire. HIGH LEVERAGE chased four to five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then three wide through the turn coming under urging with five-sixteenths to go, angled seven wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild kick. KARSTEN cut the pace along the inside and then just off the inside coming under encouragement with five-sixteenths to run, angled five wide into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was caught a sixteenth out, ran on to preserve the show honors. TAP RULES broke in at the start trading a bump with ISTHEREANORMALWIFE, who broke outwards, chased three then two wide under coaxing from the seven-sixteenths marker, went eight wide int upper stretch and offered up a mild bid. GALICAT broke in at the start trading a bump with HAPPY GO MORE, chased three then four wide under a ride from three furlongs out, angled five to six wide into upper stretch and passed tired rivals. ISTHEREANORMALWIFE broke out at the start trading a bump with TAP RULES, chased three then two wide coming under a ride with five-sixteenths to run, spun three wide into upper stretch and weakened. HAPPY GO MORE broke out at the start trading a bump with GALICAT, pressed the pace of KARSTEN from the outside four then three wide coming under urging near the quarter pole, tipped five wide into upper stretch and tired. BOSSOFEVERYTHING took the overland route chasing six paths off the inside down the backstretch and then six wide through the turn, went nine wide at the head of the stretch and tired. MY MUNNY TALKS five wide in pursuit, came under encouragement three furlongs out, went eight wide into upper stretch and tired. THESPIAN stumbled at the start, crossed directly to chase along the inside, came under prolonged coaxing half a mile from home, continued in the inside route into upper stretch, trailed throughout, then got attended to and vetted on track for an apparent heat stroke after being unsaddled and subsequently walked off under his own power.
