TACO CAT BACKWARDS took control on a clear lead through the first turn setting a slow pace, remained patient when challenged early by NEW ISSUE on the backstretch, traded the lead under confident handling re-claiming control approaching the quarter pole, kicked away when called upon turning for home and held the closer at bay through the lane. HITS DIFFERENT slow early to be well off the tepid pace, closed the gap on the far turn and rallied willingly in the lane while unable to seriously challenge the winner. NEW ISSUE prompted the pace for the first quarter, moved up to duel on the lead down the backside, continued to vie on the final bend and gave way at the top of the lane dropping from contention.
