Chart notes
VASA set the pace on a clear, well rated lead through the turn, repelled the rushed challenger at the quarter pole to draw off handily in the lane unchallenged as much the best and be geared down late. READY SET CAIRO unhurried to be the trailer, commenced a steady bid midway on the turn under an early drive, rallied four wide in upper stretch, tipped around a tiring rival midway down the lane and was up for the place in deep stretch. FORTY LOVE tracked the leaders down the backside, closed the gap on the turn with nowhere to go having to be held up off the pacesetters heels midway on the bend, re-gained some momentum turning for home and finished willingly. SAVAGE STATE flashed some brief speed chasing the leader down the backside, dropped back losing position on the turn and finished as a non-threat. GIFT EXCHANGE reared at the start giving the field a half dozen lengths, rushed up down the backside to contention, rallied to challenge the leader at the quarter pole and gave way tiring in the lane from the effort.
