Chart notes

GOLDEN COOKIE was allowed to settle off the pace early, started a forward move approaching the three-furlong pole, drew abreast of BROTHER PAUL at the top of the stretch, then gradually wore down that rival and edged clear in the final yards under urging. BROTHER PAUL was hustled away and made the early lead under mild pressure from KIT SCAT, dug in gamely when challenged by GOLDEN COOKIE late on the turn and gave way grudgingly near the finish. RIP MY HEART was last early, came out four wide into the stretch, rallied past a tiring rival to gain the minor award and continued to gain mildly on the top two, but was too late. KIT SCAT pressed the early pace to the stretch, then tired.
