Chart notes
STEADFAST RESOLVE settled off the pace and the inside, moved out a bit and came four wide into the stretch the final time, challenged entering the gap tightening up a couple of inner rivals, shook clear in the final sixteenth while under firm handling.. MCLOVIN forwardly placed, moved closer in the fourth turn, between rivals into the stretch, in tight entering the crossover gap as the winner was challenging on the outside, stalled a bit then ran on late hold onto the the runner up spot. DEFLECTED unhurried for much of the way, came on the outside and followed the winner into the gap, finished up willingly to be getting to the runner up late. THOMAS AQUINAS pulled early while very washy, set or forced the pace, retook the advantage in the final turn, showed the way into the stretch, continued to hold the advantage entering the crossover, yielded late. LIGHTUP LIGHTUP one paced while off the inside, moved closer into the stretch, pushed in while at the crossover with a furlong remaining, finished up evenly after recovering. PATH TO VICTORY void of any speed for a dozen furlongs, picked off a few tiring rivals in the drive while not posing a serious threat. DOUBLE CLUTCH remained back throughout in failing to mount a late charge. LANDAUER rank early while showing the way, relinquished the advantage briefly over the third jump, regained the lead, showed the way until a quarter remained and began to weaken. ANYONEFORSNACKS (IRE) finished after ten furlongs, jogged in far back. FOLLOWING A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RIDER OF THE RUNNER UP AGAINST THE WINNER FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN MIDSTRETCH, THE RESULT WAS ALLOWED TO STAND.
