Chart notes
PRINCE OF PEACE broke alertly to narrowly show the way into the turn, dueled early in the bend, edged clear by late in the turn, maintained daylight through the stretch under steady handling. NO SUBSTITUTE brushed at the start, moved up to press the winner then dueled with that one early turn, chased that same rival into the stretch, could not get back to the winner in the run to the wire, clearly second best. THE GABE DIGGER forwardly placed early inside the top pair, fell back to race in the second flight through the turn and into the stretch along the rail, proved no match for those same two rivals in the drive, determined for the show. SIDE HUG settled in the second flight while racing three wide, also went one paced through the lane to miss the show. COOPTOWN in the second flight while between foes, asked along into the lane, lacked a closing punch while between horses. JACK RABBITNESS in mid pack while four wide in the turn, had little for the stretch run. SCOOTER'S WILL fell back to trail after the start and failed to menace. BERTIEBERTBERT brushed start, remained always back to be outrun.
