CALI CREAM broke alertly and went straight to the lead, dueled with MINNIES PEARLS through the turn, turned away other challengers near the quarter pole, opened up into the stretch, and held clear through the late stages. WILD IMPULSE settled in the second flight behind the dueling leaders through the early stages, maintained position through the turn while becoming boxed in, then ran on well through the late stages with a late surge to gain the place. MINNIE'S PEARLS broke outward into the path of REACTIONARY, recovered to duel for the lead on the rail, remained in contention to deep streatch and was just tagged for second. BIRD OF PREY got a forward position early, just off the pace but four-wide, remained close up through the early stages, stayed within range into the stretch, and finished evenly through the late stages despite some trouble with the lead change. HELENE'S POWER stumbled at the start, settled inside with the second flight, raced in range through the turn, got a dream run up the rail into the stretch, made a strong bid to mid-stretch, but weakened in the final yards. ARMY BRIDE raced in the second flight through the early stages, maintained position through the turn and went evenly through the late stages without threatening. REACTIONARY took up when MINNIE'S PEARLS broke outward into her path, went inside that rival and settled well off the pace, remained toward the rear through the turn and passed a couple of tiring rivals late. AKKADEVI settled three-wide near the rear, remained well back through the turn and passed a tiring rival through the late stages. TEK IT OUT raced toward the rear of the main group through the early stages, lost ground on the turn and faded through the stretch. ITTY BITTY KITTY was bumped slightly by REACTIONARY after the start, settled near the rear and failed to make an impact.
