Chart notes
CANT STOP MUNNINGS tracked the hot pace through the early stages, moved within range approaching the quarter pole, angled to the rail at the top of the stretch, produced a strong finish and surged clear, then held sway to the wire. ORE MINE broke well and pressed the early pace from the inside, came under a ride when the leader began to slip away late on the turn, came back on in upper stretch and finished a clear second. BERRY MISCHIEVOUS hustled from the break to take a narrow early lead with two rivals in close attendance, opened up a bit approaching the quarter pole, carried the lead into the stretch but was outfinished while holding third. BREAKABLE CODE lunged at the start and was slow to begin, then lost his path when an inside rival crossed over, tracked three wide down the backstretch, moved within range of the leaders turning for home, stalled in upper stretch, then made a final try but was too late. STEEL LINK pressed the pace three wide, moved up to challenge approaching the quarter pole, loomed a threat to mid-stretch but weakened in the final furlong. HEAT UM UP ducked out at the start and bumped an outside rival, chased throughout, and failed to menace. CURLY'S ONE THING dropped far back after the start, stayed four-wide throughout and was never a factor.
