Chart notes
NEW RENAISSANCE had good position on the fence sitting a couple of lengths off the frontrunner, started to close in but had to be checked in tight on the rail losing all momentum at the five sixteenths pole, started to tenaciously get back into gear two wide at the top of the stretch and rushed home at the furlong marker to power on past getting the lead outside in the final seventy yards. MALIBU BETTY settled on the outside keeping a close eye on the lead three down the backstretch, narrowed the margin on the pacesetter coming on two wide between horses through the turn, shifted inside to the rail making a bid taking the corner, opened up seizing control on the fence by the furlong marker, could not withstand the outside late burst by the winner in deep stretch but still finished up solidly besting the rest easily for the runners up position. THAT'S A FACT sat alone on the fence in midfield in the early stages, shifted out coming with a run in midturn, swung out widest gathering more speed in the six-path turning for home, found her best stride in the last eighth of a mile and closed in belatedly to be a clear third at the wire. PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE was nudged on from the get-go to be loose up front heading into the backstretch, rolled along unchallenged through the bend, surrendered the lead while in the three path coming to the furlong pole and evened out in deep stretch holding on for only a minor share in the end. I LOVE PRESENTS was under a snug hold tracking the lone speed leader along the back straight, continued to give chase three wide outside a couple of runner on the turn, shifted to the four path in the hunt at the top of the stretch but could not find more late stalling with runners on both sides at the sixteenth pole. MONSOON DANCER broke a step slowly having only the other troubled starter beaten after the break, started to make a rally three wide around foes at the seven sixteenths pole, continued to circle around four wide through the bend, shifted to the five path in the mix outside in upper stretch but could not sustain the lengthy run and flattened out by the eighth pole. KITTABARTA was forwardly placed in the beginning, retreated between horses to be part of the back trio midway down the backside, was hard ridden making no impact around the oval and failed to menace outside in drive to the wire. NELLIE GAL hopped up at the break trailing at the start, improved slightly on the fence by the half mile marker, dropped out again seeing the field at the three eighths pole and had little to offer inside through the stretch drive.
