MARIO'S AWESOME pressed the pace from three wide the entire way, dueled through the lane with ENGLISH HARBOUR, wore that one down in deep stretch and prevailed in a determined drive. COPPER CREOLE stalked the embattled pacesetters from striking distance and found his best stride late to be fast closing five wide in the final sixteenth to just miss. ENGLISH HARBOUR rider lost iron in the early going while dueling on the lead with the winner, continued to battle the entire way surrendering the lead in the final seventy yards and was nailed for the place in the final jump in a very game effort. STARSHIP SPECTACLE chased the leaders from four wide the entire trip and failed to close the gap lacking a closing kick.
