Chart notes

WONDER GIRL away in good order, prompted the leader from the outside, three wide into the straight, set down, long, grinding drive while being floated out a bit by the runner up, got up in the final strides while still three deep at the wire. SOUPER AMUSING steadied early along the inside the opening furlong when in tight, fell back a bit as a result, tracked the winner while still saving ground into the stretch, shifted out a bit for the drive, raced on equal terms with the winner in the run to the wire inside that one, narrowly missed while between horses at the end. SOPHISTRY broke alertly, cleared toward but not quite to the rail, set the pace, continued to hold the advantage until late, gave ground grudgingly to the top pair. NAUGHTY FAVORS behind the top three into the turn, moved out a bit late in the bend, raced widest through the lane, stalled past the furlong marker a bit, displayed a mild amount of interest in the late going. SPOTTY SHOWERS last to leave, settled back off the inside, dropped in, cut the corner to move closer in upper stretch then flattened out in the final furlong. KIP THE DISTANCE made little impact while racing toward the rail. PRINCESS GLADYS fell back to trail while racing toward the inside, failed to muster a rally.
