Chart notes
MESMERIZE took control early and moved inside, pressured at the half-mile pole, moved clear late on the far turn, continued unchallenged into the last sixteenth and held safely over the runner-up. BRAZORIA (GB) rated keenly in hand early, stalked from inside to the far turn, drafted behind the leader around the bend, moved out off the fence a bit at the top of the lane, finished willingly through the final furlong, lacked then needed late kick draw alongside the winner but was able to hold second. PENTLE BAY tracked along the rail, crept closer around the far turn, stayed on the inside in the stretch, finished willingly inside BRAZORIA (GB) late but could not get by that rival for the place honors. PEACHY CANYON (IRE) broke a step slow, settled inside, angled out on the far turn, spun four wide into the drive and produce a mild rally to round out the superfecta. CHAIR'S COIN (IRE) brushed with outer rival in the beginning, traveled three then two wide towards the rear on the clubhouse turn, saved ground along the rail on the second bend, moved out in upper stretch and kept trying through the final furlong. BOURBON STORY broke a bit slow, traveled in the second flight along the inside, moved into the two path then three path on the clubhouse turn, angled out around the second bend, came five wide into the stretch and failed to threaten. PRECLUDE (IRE) raced outside a rival at the back of the pack, had one beat into the far turn, continued two wide into the lane, angled out and passed tired rivals. APPLES Y PEACHES raced up close in the two path, drew alongside the leader at the half-mile pole, stayed alongside to the quarter pole, lost touch into the stretch and flattened out. GREYS OVER BAYS stalked three deep around both turns and weakened down the lane. GOT THE RING brushed inner rival at the start, raced keenly in hand first time through the stretch, stalked in the two path between rivals, roused around the far turn and faded in the drive. I'LL BE YOUR BABY was off slow to begin, raced at the back on the inside, trailed into the stretch and had little left for the drive.
