Chart notes
STELLIFY sent for the early lead, set the pace while well handled to the backstretch, dictated terms to the half-mile marker then kicked clear to upper stretch, drew away into the final furlong and won in hand. GOLDEN SUNSHINE settled to the backstretch, coaxed between rivals approaching the far turn then shifted to the rail into that bend, lacked room nearing the top of the stretch, was still blocked into upper stretch, found a seam between runners heading to the final sixteenth, couldn't impact the winner into deep stretch but held well for second in a good effort. HEY JESSIE squeezed at the start and last away from the gate, settled to the backstretch then trailed into the far turn, angled widest to upper stretch, churned on through the lane and just missed for second, while holding for third at the wire. WAY TO BE MARIE hit the gate at the start and was off a bit slowly, settled to the backstretch, advanced while widest along the second turn then swung five wide to upper stretch, ran in pursuit into the final furlong, couldn't muster a late response and was outfinished for the minor awards. DONA CLOTA (CHI) settled while saving ground, lacked room between rivals nearing the top of the stretch, bottled up to the furlong marker, shifted out and found room to the final sixteenth but couldn't muster the needed late response. PUBLIC ASSEMBLY settled to the backstretch run, steered outside of rivals approaching the far turn, roused four wide to upper stretch, chased into the lane, couldn't sustain a run to the final sixteenth and flattened out. NIGHT OF ROSE (BRZ) broke out at the start, was forwardly placed in the early stages, stalked the pace between runners heading into the backstretch, chased between foes into the far turn, outkicked to upper stretch, needed more in the drive and weakened late. VENENCIA (FR) forwardly placed while saving ground early on, well placed from the inside heading to the second turn, lacked a rally to upper stretch then gave way. PIN UP BETTY tracked the early pace from the second flight, was well placed while three wide into the backstretch, chased three wide along the far turn, lacked the needed response to upper stretch and tired in the drive.
