Chart notes
DIABLO SHIRAZ saved ground along the inside early on while being positioned in the back half of the pack then came out a bit nearing the bottom of the hill into the two path and raced up just behind the leader then angled out by the final furlong to the outside of ALTA AVENUE and surged late to just be up at the wire. ALTA AVENUE lunged at the break after having a little stumble and rushed up setting the pace along the inside while being pressured by CLICK around the hill, then kept on leaving it's trailing rival behind but was nailed at the wire by DIABLO SHIRAZ. MAX was brushed from both sides leaving the gate and settled into the mid-pack about three wide off the rail then came out a bit into the four path entering the final quarter and made a bid drawing ahead of the rest of the pack but needed more to contend with the top two. AMAZING LADY raced at the back of the pack in the four path coming around the hill then tipped out after passing the quarter pole to the five path and improved well through the upper but was evenly paced with MAX in the stretch. QUEEN OF QUEENS broke towards the front of the pack and raced two wide through the first half of the race before coming to the inside heading down the lane and vied briefly passing the quarter pole but weakened in the stretch. EGYPTIAN MISTRESS settled off the pace in the five path and dropped back a bit near the three furlongs marker briefly being in last before tipping six wide into the upper and making a mild late rally into the stretch. LOST CHORD brushed into MAX at the start then tracked the pace from the three to four path around the hill and vied while passing the quarter pole but was empty in the stretch. JABOSS broke to the outside and bumped QUEEN OF QUEENS leaving the gate last and racing at the very back of the pack about six to seven wide around the hill, then continued out in the stretch being widest but needed kick. HAVANA RUM settled back in the four to three path and raced between rivals from the top to mid-way down the hill and tipped to the inside looking for an opening before tipping back out about five wide in the upper but made no bid in the stretch. COLD CASE raced towards the back of the pack along the inside then tipped out two, then three wide coming off the bend and heading towards the quarter pole and swung out about six wide nearing the final furlong but had no kick. JUSTICE PREVAILS brushed into MAX at the break and was forwardly placed through the first half of the race while being four wide then began to weaken after passing the quarter pole and faded into the stretch. CLICK pressed the pace from the two to three path up until the three furlongs marker then began to weaken and tired out shortly after passing the quarter pole.
