Chart notes

TELESCOPIC well placed to the backstretch while outside of rivals, tracked three to four wide nearing the half-mile marker, vied for the lead to upper stretch then took command, dug in to the furlong grounds, found more to the final sixteenth and kicked clear late. THE BRIGADE settled mid-pack, well placed to the far turn, angled out nearing the top of the lane and roused four wide for the stretch drive, angled to the inside into the final furlong, was outkicked by the winner to the final sixteenth but kept on late and got the nod for the place. POLICE GAZETTE settled to the backstretch, coaxed from the two path into the far turn, angled five wide for the stretch drive then bid at the quarter marker, vied to mid-stretch, couldn't sustain his rally to the final sixteenth and just missed for the place, while clear of the rest for the show. EXONERATE was forwardly placed early on, went up to stalk the pace into the backstretch run, tracked from the inside into the second turn, raced in traffic nearing the top of the stretch, found a seam between rivals at the quarter pole, couldn't find more into the drive and yielded late. HIGHLY CONNECTED settled while saving ground to the backstretch, steered outside then coaxed from the three path heading into the second turn, lacked the needed response to upper stretch, shifted out for the drive then failed to threaten late. GOLDEN CHANNEL broke alertly and vied for the early lead, took back to the backstretch then settled in the second flight, saved ground to the second turn, angled out for the stretch drive, couldn't find the needed response and weakened. KICKING CLEAR broke a bit slowly then lacked speed in the early going, coaxed two wide then from the rail along the far turn, saved ground to upper stretch, lacked the needed late response and passed tiring rivals in the drive. GUN BARREL CITY settled in the second flight early on, made a mid-race move and stalked the pacesetter two to three wide heading into the far turn, vied between rivals nearing the top of the lane, turned away at the quarter pole, couldn't find more into the lane and faltered. THE DOVER SPECTER settled in the early going and trailed to the far turn, coaxed between runners to upper stretch, got caught behind tiring runners at the furlong marker and did not factor late. MASTER MUNNINGS settled outside of runners to the backstretch, coaxed three to four wide to the far turn, trailed to upper stretch and did not make a late impact. NEWS AT TEN (GB) vied for the early lead then took command, set the pace off of the rail into the backstretch, kept a two wide path while leading to the far turn, came under pressure to upper stretch, was overtaken leaving the quarter marker and gave way in the drive.
